1These terms
These terms govern your organisation's use of Akoben, a facility management platform provided by Coskon Technologies Ltd of Plot 46 Block D Adumasa, Santasi, Kumasi, Ghana. By registering a company or signing in, the person accepting confirms they are authorised to bind their organisation.
2Pilot programme status
Akoben is in an active pilot programme. This is not a marketing description — it has practical consequences you should read before committing:
- Features ship continuously. Workflows you rely on may change, move or be replaced.
- Pricing has not been set. Nobody is charged during the pilot. We will publish pricing and give at least 30 days' notice by email before any charging begins.
- Some modules are still being hardened, and defects are expected. Do not use Akoben as the sole record of anything you are legally required to retain.
- We may contact pilot customers for feedback. You are never obliged to respond.
3Accounts and access
Access is by named user account, secured by an email address and password, with optional time-based one-time password (TOTP) multi-factor authentication. You are responsible for keeping credentials confidential, for the actions taken under your accounts, and for deactivating users who leave your organisation. Accounts must not be shared between people. Sessions end automatically after 30 minutes of inactivity.
4Cost during the pilot
Participation in the pilot programme is free of charge. No payment details are required, and no fees are collected while the pilot runs. Pilot organisations have full platform access. If you decide not to continue, ask us and we will remove your data; nothing is deleted automatically.
5Subscription and payment (after the pilot)
This clause does not apply yet. It describes how billing will work once the pilot ends and charging begins. Prices, plan structure and limits will be published before that happens, and existing pilot organisations will be notified in advance and asked to accept the terms then in force before any payment is taken.
- Subscriptions will be billed per company workspace in Ghana Cedis (GH₵). No amounts have been set.
- Payment will be processed by Paystack. Card and mobile money details are entered with Paystack and are never received or stored by Akoben.
- Fees will be payable in advance and renew automatically until cancelled.
- You will be able to cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; part-months are not refunded.
- Quoted prices will exclude any taxes or levies that apply, which are added where required by Ghanaian law.
- Plans may include user and resource limits. Exceeding a limit would require an upgrade to continue adding records.
6Your data and ownership
You own the data you put into Akoben. We process it on your behalf to run the service, as described in the Privacy Policy and Data Protection documents. We do not sell, share or use your operational data to train anything. You are responsible for having a lawful basis for the personal data you upload — particularly staff, visitor and vehicle records in the security module.
7Acceptable use
You must not:
- Attempt to access data belonging to another company, or probe, scan or test the isolation controls without our written agreement.
- Upload malware, or content that is unlawful, defamatory or infringes someone else's rights.
- Reverse engineer, resell, sublicense or white-label the service without our written agreement.
- Use automated access in a way that degrades the service for others, or circumvent published API rate limits.
- Use the platform to store special-category personal data — such as health or biometric records — which Akoben is not designed to protect.
We may suspend access without notice where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect the platform or other customers, and we will tell you why as soon as we can.
8Service availability
We do not offer an availability commitment or service level agreement during the pilot programme. The service is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis. Maintenance, upgrades and incidents may cause downtime, sometimes without advance notice. The SLA features inside the product are tools for managing your own maintenance response times to your occupants — they are not a commitment by Coskon Technologies about the availability of Akoben itself.
9Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Ghanaian law, and except for liability that cannot lawfully be excluded — including death or personal injury caused by negligence, and fraud — Coskon Technologies is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business, loss of anticipated savings, or loss or corruption of data.
Our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the service is limited to the fees you actually paid in the 12 months before the claim arose. Where the service is being provided free of charge, as it is throughout the pilot programme, that limit is GH₵ 1,000.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". You remain responsible for keeping your own copies of records that matter to you; export tools are provided for exactly that purpose.
10Suspension and termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may terminate or suspend an account for non-payment, for a material breach of these terms that is not remedied within 14 days of written notice, or if we discontinue the service. If we discontinue the service, we will give at least 60 days' notice and keep exports available throughout that period. On termination, your data is deleted on request; ask us and we will confirm when it is done.
11Changes to these terms
We will update these terms as the product matures. The "Last updated" date records the current version, and material changes are notified to company administrators by email. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
12Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and the courts of Ghana have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. We would rather resolve a complaint directly — write to us first and we will respond within 14 days.
